Editing - the rough cut

Editing – rough cut

When we completed our rough cut of the opening, we asked for feed back in order to improve the final cut. Once we received the feed back we realised that our rough cut was missing something. The piece really lacked dynamic shots including extreme close ups and aerial shots that would make the piece flow well. From then on we decided that we had to incorporate more shots and figured that it would be interesting to include a third character into the opening.

The third character will be shot in a darker environment to create a distinctive contrast between the original shots we have where it is shot in broad daylight. It allows the crime thriller aspect to shine through briefly to engage the audience’s attention.
