Q.1) In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge formas and conventions of real media products?

This is a screen grab of the conventions of film openings.

This is a gif of how my thriller has followed
the conventions of film openings.

Conventions of a title sequence

My group used intertextuality with marathon man:

This is marathon man's title sequence that we followed in terms of
the font, movement of text and where it appears.

This is the title sequence for our thriller. We have introduced our
distribution company at the start and ended our film with the director.
The title ' last member' is towards the beginning as
this is an opening and NOT a trailer.

This is the particular stereotype of women in action thriller movies...
This is evidence of the way women are portrayed as
vulnerable and weak. The male protagonist in terminator
is a primative male that is strong and intelligent

Our film has challenged the media stereotype of the way in which women are portrayed in films.

Similar too....

'Uma Thurman' plays a strong female protagonist in Kill Bill.
Women in this a presented as independent and cunning.
This is commonly known as the male role.

Above are still images showing why our female characters were strong leads. Props we used such as 'Mac laptop, iPhone and Car presented our characters as independent business women.
