Health and Safety Tutorial For Cameras

These are the three important equipment that we were introduced to

  • We were taught how to set the camera to manual or automatic. These changes depend on time of day.
  • The camcorder should be kept in a bag if we aren't filming to prevent damage.
This protects the camera from damage and also rain.
  • While filming the camcorder should be on a strap around our necks so it doesn't drop.
  • camcorders should also be returned on time scheduled so other groups can use them.
  • to prevent theft we have to keep the camera close. It is the responsibility of all the group members if it is stolen or goes missing.

There are two memory card slots. We were taught how to insert and
lock the SDHC memory card  into the camcorder safely

  • The memory card has to be saved onto a group hard drive to prevent any loss of footage.
  • We also learnt how to insert the batter into the camcorder

This is a correct example of how the camcorder
should be locked into place on the tripod.
  • The tripod is used to help the camera stay in a still position.
  • There is a panning stick at the top which is used to enable movement such as tilting and panning.
  • The tripod holds the camera stable when filming
