Research and Practise

As we were introduced to the camera, we were set a task to take images with
various different camera shots.

Here are some of the shots that I took

This image is an over the shoulder shot, it displays the
background scenery very well and the lighting is good.
This is a perspective shot of someone's foot, however the
lighting is extremely poor.

This is a rule of thirds shot, I purposely shot this incorrectly
with large amounts of space above to show that that space above
is not necessarily.

This is a rule of thirds shot, showing someone looking over
at a something in the shot that the audience can also see.
The wrong way to shoot this is the shot below

This is the rule of thirds shot, this demonstrates the incorrect way
of shooting the shot above.

This is a wide shot, presenting a large background and
people.
This shot is an establishing shot, displaying the location.
Although the light is artificial in this imagine, the lighting looks fine.

During the end of the session we were familiarized with the different shot types that we will be including in our film openings. The task allowed us to get used to taking shots that way and understanding the difference that it makes.
