- Trailers tell the audience what the film is about
- Trailers provide different clips in the film to almost summarise the story
- Trailers often include the film title at the end
- Trailers include the release dates and titles to help promote the film
- Trailers can sometimes be presented with a voice-over
- Trailers include the MPAA rating which can either be G, PG, PG-13, R or NC-17
- Trailers are a marvel in commercial editing
- They are 2 and a half minutes long - limit imposed by cinemas
Similarities
- They both include sounds and visuals
- They both suggest a genre to the audience
- The actors, directors and writers are introduced
- They both include the film title
