The most popular family genre in 2010 was fantasy and adventure.

5)     Write a short paragraph of about 200 words about how the figures for ‘suspense’ genre
 films compare with other film genres in 2010.
The order below indicates the gross success of each film genres in 2010. Suspense is placed third to 
last on top of sci fi and musical. Action and adventure crowns itself the top spot in 2010, beating 
the popular animation, comedy and rom com genres. The films under action and adventure is Alice in 
Wonderland, Inception and Ironman. They have a larger audiences, for example Alice in Wonderland 
originally has a book which can influence people to go and see the film with an inherited audience. 
Another factor that can effect the gross of films is the audiences choice of sub genres. However, 
both genres have high grosses through the market and distribution strategy.
